Amigurumi, Review of Itty Bitty Crocheted Critters. ^_^

Review of Itty Bitty Crocheted Critters AMIGURUMI WITH ATTITUDE! By Angie Vega.

There are many books dedicated to the amigurumi which you can find on the market, Erin Clark's Itty Bitty Crocheted Critters, is a collection of crocheted animals in miniature, detail and care of every aspect making it a highly recommended book.

As in her previous title, this is one of those books that you want to get just to see how nice it is. Without a doubt, most readers of Itty Bitty Crocheted critters AMIGURUMI WITH ATTITUDE!   will want to reproduce the 20 miniature creatures, that are tender and lovable. The main thing I got from the book is that the patterns are well explained, there are many selections to choose from, and the end result will make you say "Aww!"

The book begins with a didactic section that will be used by those who do not have an experienced background for crochet.  Also included are instructions to perform basic techniques: how to start a piece, basic stitches, change of color, the material used, among other concepts, and so forth. Clark's book definitely considers everything you should know to get started in the world of the miniature amigurumi, accompanied by detailed illustrations; in addition none of the sections are extensive, making them easier to read.

The tips and tricks that are included are also very good, as well as images that illustrate them because they will help the beginner weavers to quickly become familiar with this art. The materials used may not be the most universal or economic, nevertheless similar products can be found and substituted. This is something that the author makes clear to inform readers about, which I feel is a very wise decision.

All that said, Itty Bitty Crocheted Critters AMIGURUMI WITH ATTITUDE! adds to its attraction with the creation of a mini terrarium and how to decorate it. Finally let's not forget that the creation and decoration of these miniature creatures will depend exclusively on the skills of those who perform the projects.

Pros:
·The images in the book are descriptive and beautiful.
·The explanations are simple and clear, suitable for people with few or no knowledge of crochet.
Cons:
· Using magic rings at the start of the projects rather than the 2 strings would be preferable, as it is essential to make the amigurumi well.
· It would be advisable to indicate the colors used instead of the DMC color numbers.
